Open data and API commitments. Commitments, not self-scores.

The 2024 ABA Core Platforms Survey scored core providers on 19 attributes and 13 contract provisions. Providers rated their own effectiveness 4.31 out of 5; the 780 bankers who answered rated them 2.78. The lowest-scored items are below — and beside each is what A8 Core™ commits to in its standard agreement, and how the platform evidences it.

What bankers asked for, and what we commit to

Why commitments rather than scores

The self-rating gap

When providers score themselves a point and a half above their customers, another self-assessment is worthless. A contract term is not.

Evidenced, not asserted

Every commitment maps to something the platform produces — metering events, an export job, an SLA report from the evidence ledger — so compliance with the term is measurable.

The same terms for everyone

These are provisions of the standard agreement, offered to every institution, not exceptions negotiated by the largest.

Status. These commitments are Foundation: contract terms A8 Core™ offers to every institution, not product features and not a self-assessment. They apply on execution of an agreement; agreement terms govern. Nothing on this page is a claim of current availability — see product status.

Frequently asked questions

Short answers, with the status stated.

Are these features or contract terms?

Contract terms. Each commitment is a provision of the standard agreement; the platform is built so each can be evidenced, but the obligation is contractual.

What does “usage-metered, no per-seat” mean in practice?

You pay for what the platform does — accounts, operations, data — not for how many people log in. Examiners read at no charge.

How is an SLA report different from a status page?

A status page says what is up now; an SLA report says what happened over the period, computed from evidence records that a third party can verify offline. Ours are generated from B5 Secure™ evidence, on a schedule, without editing.

Where do these commitments come from?

From the 2024 ABA Core Platforms Survey, which scored providers on 19 attributes and 13 contract provisions and found providers rating themselves 4.31 while bankers rated them 2.78. The lowest-scored items became commitments rather than scores.

Ask for the agreement, not a scorecard.

We will walk through each commitment against your current contract.
