An institution may open this account only if it satisfies every requirement group below. Within a group, any one authority suffices. Across groups, all must be satisfied.

ProviderReferenceId	string	optional	Your internal reference. Used as the idempotency key.
ClientId	Guid	required	The A8 Core™ Client ID that owns the account.
AccountTypeCode	string	required	Must be `demand-deposit-checking`.
InstitutionId	Guid	required	Must hold `InsuredDepositoryInstitution` authority. No other authority substitutes.
ProductType	string	required	`Checking`, `Savings`, `MoneyMarketDeposit`, or `TimeDeposit`.
OverdraftPermitted	bool	required	A deposit balance may go negative. A holding cannot.
AnnualPercentageYield	decimal	required	Reg DD, 12 C.F.R. Part 1030.

Errors

ErrorCode	Meaning
InstitutionNotAuthorizedForAccountType	The institution does not hold every authority this type requires.
ClientNotFound	No client matches the supplied ClientId.
AccountTypeNotInvestable	A deposit is a liability, not a holding.
InstitutionNotAuthorizedForAccountType	The institution does not hold `InsuredDepositoryInstitution` authority.

Rules that govern this type

Requires InsuredDepositoryInstitution. A nonbank custodian approved under Treas. Reg. § 1.408-2(e) cannot take deposits — that approval says nothing about deposit-taking authority.
The balance may go negative. Reg E error-resolution clocks apply (12 C.F.R. § 1005.11).
